A gate on the northeastern side of the Old City wall, associated with approaching Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Lions’ Gate (Bab al-Asbat) is among the gates of the visible wall on the northeastern side. It is also mentioned as Lions’ Gate or St Stephen’s Gate in some literature. What matters for knowledge is its location and its relation to approaching Al-Aqsa Mosque.
