Lecture: Dome and Knowledge in Al-Aqsa Architecture

A session explaining the relation between architectural elements—dome, prayer hall, courtyard—and knowledge-based reading of the Haram.

قبة الصخرة داخل المسجد الأقصى في القدس

The lecture treats the domes as architectural elements with strong visual presence, focusing on how we look at the place: what do we see first? What disappears when we settle for the golden dome alone?

Session themes

  • Distinguishing the Dome of the Rock from the Qibli prayer hall.
  • The Dome of the Chain as a companion element in reading the courtyard.
  • How we teach looking without reduction.

Registration is open to interested participants via the contact page until capacity is reached. Reference materials are sent to participants after the session.
