Jaffa Gate (Bab al-Khalil)
A western gate of the Old City linking inside the walls to their surroundings; also known in other contexts as Jaffa Gate.
Jaffa Gate (Bab al-Khalil) is a western entrance in the Old City wall. In some texts and maps it is called Jaffa Gate. Multiple names are common for Jerusalem’s gates; responsible reading establishes the location first.
