An image is a document and a responsibility. A caption that says «Al-Aqsa» on a frame showing only part of a courtyard or a particular building confuses the reader. Ethics here begin with precise naming.
Limits of educational use
- Describe what actually appears in the frame.
- Do not imply that a historical image represents the present without stating so.
- Preserve source rights.
- Avoid images presented as if they were verified portraits of a person without evidence.
